Every animal
deserves a fighting chance.

Compassion Legacy is dedicated to providing financial assistance for emergency veterinary care, including life-saving surgeries, treatments, and medications for animals in need throughout Florida. Guided by compassion, our mission is to insure that pets facing urgent medical crisis receive the care they need regardless of financial circumstances. We strive to create a lasting legacy of empathy, healing and compassion when it matters most. Paid directly, accounted for in full.

Our Promise

80%+

of every dollar reaches the animals. Operations capped at twenty cents — transparency in every annual report. Industry standard for foundation is 10-15%. We refuse to be most foundations.

Direct

We pay the vet, not a middleman. No skim. No grant lag. You receive a record of what your donation impacts — surgery, animal, outcome.

Local

Built in Miami, for Miami. Partnering with shelters in need — and staying long enough to be the reason it stops.

Why We Exist

It started with one dog we couldn't save.

On Valentine's Day, a six-year-old Yorkie named Terry was scheduled for euthanasia at Miami-Dade Animal Services. He had treatable heart problems. Five or ten thousand dollars and the right phone call would have given him another decade.

The phone call came. It came too late.

Terry's story doesn't end at Miami-Dade. It begins this foundation — and the arc every rescue deserves: healthy, happy, and in a home.

Every life is worth fighting for.
Help us fight for the next one.

The next Terry is somewhere in a Miami-Dade kennel right now, waiting for the phone call that comes in time. Your gift is the phone call. The surgery. The decade he gets back — healthy, happy, and in a home.
